Most businesses just stick with an energy supplier because it’s easier than changing. But proper methodical analysis often shows they would benefit from significant cost savings across a number of iniatives.

Cost Centre Services gains a complete understanding of a business’s energy requirements through an in-depth analysis of their current billing. Our background as Cost Reduction Analysts sets us apart from others: we look, and keep looking, challenging everything. Once we have identified the correct tariff, level of service and exactly what is required for a client, a Tender is held to appoint a supplier who best matches those requirements.

Our approach doesn’t just apply to energy. Mobile phones are another category where cost analysis can deliver significant savings: text or minute bundles may be wholly inappropriate for the actual task, while employees may be misusing their position of trust.

Sometimes businesses come to Cost Centre Services (CCS) for assistance late in the day, when their energy supplier suddenly demands payment for a recalculated or long outstanding bill and the matter has been passed to Credit Control. Obviously this is not ideal, but thanks to our experience and specialist knowledge we can still help. In fact, successfully negotiating on behalf of clients in this situation is a growing area of our business – we have regularly secured significant reductions on billing, even for clients who have been threatened with being taken to court by their energy supplier.

For example, one client received a backdated demand for £46,000 with 29 reprinted invoices to prove the amount outstanding. Cost Centre Services audited the invoices and discovered substantial errors. After negotiation and adjustments, the outstanding value was reduced to just £16,000.
